NEWGA Player of the Year

NEWGA’s Board has established a new program to recognize the member of NEWGA that participates in the tournaments and events of the organization. The NEWGA Player of the Year will be awarded to the golfer who has accumulated the most points throughout the season by participating and winning in the events. The winner will be awarded with free dues to NEWGA for the subsequent year. Points will be awarded as follows:

Major Tournament (Gail Sykes 2 person best ball, 4 ball, NEWGA Championship and the Team event) players will receive the following points:

2^nd place              6

3^rd place               4

Participant             2

Other Tournaments / Events (4 person scramble, Ringers, Senior Championship, Stroke play, 2 person scramble, and 666) will receive the following points:

The winner will be announced at the Fall Meeting.
